Hi, I’m Yvette, Director of LifeBook Bespoke.
I am an economist by training, with 25 years’ experience in broking and corporate finance in The City. I have participated in a number of IPOs and advised pension funds and institutional investors in a number of specialist sectors. I have now turned my hand to overseeing our corporate history division, where my background facilitates a deeper appreciation of dynamic corporate growth and decision-making.
Hi, I’m Caroline, Bespoke Managing Editor.
I came to work for LifeBook™ in October 2015, having previously worked for an academic publisher as Production Editor on their art history, architecture, business and aviation lists. These broad subject areas have given me an excellent understanding of what is required to produce high-quality, books with entirely different focuses, be it an in-depth corporate history or an illustrated photographic book. My experience spans helping top-tier business professionals write and produce world-class pieces of literature, to assisting individuals in creating beautiful, private, small print-run publications for their families. I am always on hand to assist our Bespoke authors with any content or editorial questions.
Hi, I’m Lianne, Bespoke Editor.
My background is largely in academic publishing, with a focus on managing social sciences publications. My education centred on creative writing, and I have worked extensively as a copy-editor and proofreader across a variety of disciplines, including fiction, post-graduate theses, instruction manuals and B2C marketing.
More and more businesses, from huge international blue chip companies, down to small family-run businesses, are commissioning their own histories. It is a wonderful way to preserve the story of an organisation, to remember the key characters behind a company’s growth and to leave a lasting record of a company’s beginnings for future staff and customers.
LifeBook’s experienced team are well-versed in producing corporate histories. So, whether you want something to mark your retirement or a company anniversary, or if you simply want a professional piece of literature to present to your staff, customers or clients as a memento of the important part they have played in the company’s development, give us a call and our team will be happy to talk through the project with you.
Martin Barraclough’s account of the history of his family business, looking for the Silver Lining, benefited from our high design and production values.
With programmes such as Who Do You Think You Are ever growing in popularity, the trend for documenting family histories is on the rise. Tracing back the generations can be a fun and fascinating hobby, but what do you do with all that research?
At LifeBook, our bespoke team can help convert your existing genealogy research into a wonderful legacy book, or even conduct the research on your behalf, creating an invaluable piece of history for you and your family.
Tony Abrahams spent years completing the research on his ancestors, Tracing them across Europe and back to the earliest American settlers, he has produced a rich mine of facts, figures, illustrations, reminiscences and information. A loving and personal tale of just one family, Tony was delighted that we could help transform all of this information into a printed book, Dear Relative…
Sadly for many friends and relatives, it is too late for them to take part in the writing of their own story. However, if you wish to pay homage to them and remember them through the written word, we can help. Whether a full-scale biography or a selected memoir relating to a certain part of their life, our team of experts can piece together the material to make a lasting memoir. Using interviews and research, our writers then compile and design a book that is a fitting tribute to their memory and the lives they have touched.
Nigel Smales wanted to complete the research and book he had written about his father, a founding member of the Army Film and Photographic Unit. The AFPU had a crucial role during WWII, reporting on all the major battles. We helped Nigel complete his account, When You’re Smiler, producing specially designed and fully illustrated hardback books.
